Senior Staff :
Mel
Patzwald (Managing Director) :
Mel
has been involved in the travel industry for over 25 years.
Formerly with Lufthansa German Airlines, Mel spent over 10 years
working in the airline industry in senior management positions in
Lima (Peru), Madrid (Spain), Tel Aviv (Israel) and Frankfurt
(Germany).
In
the early 90's Mel returned home to Adelaide after 18 years
overseas. After initially successfully managing
award winning retail travel agencies for a few yearshe
has spent more than a decade and a half spearheading
large multi-national corporate travel agencies.
Mel
started the Corporate Traveller (now FCm) in Adelaide and built it
from scratch to a large operation in SA. Global Account
Manager of the year in 1998 just one of many accolades he picked up
during his time at FCm. He also lists winning the "once in a
lifetime" Adrail (Alice Springs/Darwin rail project) tender
over every
other travel provider in Australia-and subsequently managing the
travel requirements of the project for it's entire length-when he
was the State Manager of BTI (now HRG)-as one of the highlights of
his career.
In
more recent times, apart from starting the Airport Travel Centre
and creating the fastest growing corporate travel agency in
Australia, Mel has been a Director of the Adelaide United Football
Club and was recently appointed it's Chairman.
Trevor
Stevens (Manager Platinum Elect) :
Trevor
Stevens is the manager of the Airport Travel Centre's Platinum
Elect division. Trevor has nearly 30 years travel industry
experience and in the past has been responsible for managing the
overall customer service excellence centre across various
portfolios. These include Captains of Business and Heads of State
such as the Governor General of Australia, SA Government including
the Premier, PBL(Crown Casino, Channel 9 & Australian
Consolidated Press), Newmont Australia, CSR Limited, Brambles
Industries, Downer EDI, Schneider Electric, Bluescope and privately
Mr Robert Champion de Crespigny AC. Trevor has extensive airline
experience as well having worked with major airlines such as
Lufthansa, Malaysia Airlines and United Airlines. Trevor's role
involves maintaining the "industry benchmark" VIP client business
relationship within our client's organisation as well as ensuring
client executive needs are met in all areas of premium travel by
our service excellence centre.
